It's been raining here so the underground phone lines are damp and slow Wasn't able to play the video, but I think I've seen it before. Is this the one where they drop the nuts into traffic and let the cars crack them, then wait on the lights until they get the chance to fly down and pick the meats off the pavement? It really was pretty amazing!

You probably could! Crows and jays are rated high among the smartest birds.

LOL! Can you see me going into a store with a 'hearing' crow ! I wouldn't have to worry about going out in the winter to walk a crow .

I did get a surprise today when I went to refill the my birdbath, a crow left a bird beak in the water and some feathers ! ! I dumped the water out and put fresh water in and when I went to check on the birdbath later in the day the beak was back in the water ! Marty is sniffing the birdbath ,he think it smells very interesting . This is so GROSS finding a bird beak in the water , I just hope I don't find the water looking at me the next time ! |

Sure it was a crow? Sounds more like what a raccoon might do. They insist on washing the yucky stuff before refusing to eat it...
The only bird related news we have here is that the hummingbirds came back, finally! We had 2 males arrive 10 days ago, a female 8 days ago, then nothing new till yesterday's storms. This morning, I got mobbed by 15 - 20 hummingbirds when I changed out the nectar feeders.
