Dog food and shedding

Does anyone have any opinions on dog food and relationship to shedding? I know that different foods can affect thier coats. Right now, our tile and laminate floor usually looks carpetted by the end of the day. We are feeding her Performatrim which we thought was pretty good (no corn!), but we're shocked that Daisy isn't bald by now. Any thoughts?
