Sasha's Den Fundraiser - Sunday Sept. 30 - Oct. 6/2007

Sasha's Den Rescue is very happy to announce that Funny Farm Boutique has offered to do a "collar buying fund raiser week" for them. As some of you might know, Lin at Funny Farm Boutique is a warm-hearted Great Dane rescuer herself, and generously offers to donate $5 per collar sold toward spotlighted rescues.

There are collars, and then there are collars.... Some of you might have had the opportunity to drool over the fabulous fabrics and designs of Lin's collars.... if not, don't delay ! Visit www.funnyfarmboutique.ca and see for yourself ! Why not combine pleasure with generosity and help Sasha's Den Rescue with the humongous vet bills they are faced with these days? If you didn't know, Sasha's Den medical expenses are all paid out-of -pocket by Marie-Christine (Inverness)... there is just so much one person can do without help from the community.
Some examples of the dogs needing help at the moment:

Kira the Lab needs patellar surgery... 2500 $ Cadeau the Min Pin X needs patellar surgery too...700 $ Havane the Walker Hound needs heartworm and erhlichiosis treatment... 700 $ Finnigan the Wheaten Terrier needs regular ear treatments... 250 $ each time Lilou the German Shorthaired Pointer has terminal cancer and is under treatment for extreme anxiety... 100 $ a month Demi the German Shorthaired Pointer has severe allergies, needs special food and cortisone. Sasha's Den has some very heavy medical cases....over $4000 are still needed for everyone.

Sasha's Den has helped so many dogs over the years....please help them continue helping needy pets!

Funny Farm Boutique's collars are all hand-crafted and are available in 3 different styles including martingales and the really nifty Get-A-Grip style. They are available in an incredible array of exquisite fabrics.

The fundraiser will run on line at www.funnyfarmboutique.ca
from Sunday, September 30 - Saturday, October 6th, 2007.

When ordering your collar make sure to note in the "comments" section
that it is in support of Sasha's Den rescue so that Funny Farm Boutique can keep track. For those that are planning on purchasing a collar soon, please hold off until you can check out the collars on Funny Farm's website and then you can order one during our week-long fund raiser and support Sasha's Den. Funny Farm only makes a few collars per fabric style, so get your order in early to ensure you get the fabric you want! If you have any special requests just email Lin as she is more than happy to accommodate.

You just know you will need some of these collars to show off your dogs
at Christmas... or to give as presents to all your doggie friends ! Why not get a head start and order them on September 30th?

By the looks of the website, it seems that you can only buy them online. I sent them an email asking them if they will ship to the US. I like the Breast Cancer collar on the front page and the Flip Flops collar. I'm ready to buy!

Woo Hoo! As I was typing this I received a reply from them. For all of us stateside, yes they will ship to us!

Edit to add -- I wish they made leashes too. I'd be in real trouble. I like my baby to have matching duds!

I love the collars too, but most of the pictures are with short haired doggies. what about long haired doggies does the collars get caught in the fur??
cause Bree has to wear a collar all the time>

Send her an email. I'm not joking, she got back to me within 10 minutes. I was in shock! I wish everyone had customer service like that!

Woo Hoo! I just bought the two collars. They said it was alright to purchase now and they would give the proceeds to Sasha's Den. I can't wait to show off my babies new collars. Right now she has her blue Margaritaville Mutt collar on that has white hibiscus flowers all over it. I just have to tell Daddy that she "Needed" them when he realizes how much I spent on them.

But all ladies need custom made gear. Why don't men understand that?

A little update now that the fundraiser is over:

Thanks to the generosity of Lin at www.funnyfarmboutique.ca and everyone who purchased a collar last week, Sasha's Den Rescue has received a donation of 225 $ ! That means that 45 collars were purchased over the week !

Thank you so much to everyone who made this fundraiser a success !

A very special thank you from Kira who has now gone through her first surgery to repair her patellar luxation and Havane who spent 24 hours in the hospital to receive her first HW treatment, without any complications :
