So Chico2, here it is. good idea.
i have a feeling its going to be mostly kitties for this one...
Roland is a big bathroom fan. he follows anyone who will let him in there when they go and waits for the flush. you gotta love them.

Too funny you guys. Unfortunatly , there's too many doggies with me in the bathroom so Monsieur le chat usually waits until we leave. And with the doggies, I leave the top down so no playing in the water !!!

Toilet pics give me mixed emotions, on one hand the cats are getting a much needed whistle wetting, on the other hand, I just used that toilet 2 minutes ago. Despite how I might feel, here are Angus and Finn partaking of the freshest water in the house.

gross

Ok, I have to admit, watching animals drink out of toilets really grosses me out!!! Sorry, just had to say that. One of mine likes to play w/ the water so I keep the lid down always.

As an aside, make sure everyone in the house is, uh, healthy. One time one of my cats got giardia from drinking out of the toilet (my boyfriend at the time had it and didn't know - once the cat's diagnosis came in, he realized the cause of his recurring problem). It was sort of funny but poor Chester cat wasn't laughing.

Kristin, don't worry, the toilet is always sparkly clean,no more kids in the house
Also Rocky does not drink from it on a regular basis, the seat is always down...just sometimes,he sits by the toilet and wants me to let him drink, not a big deal and he loves to watch it flush!!
I am certain my tap-water is not much cleaner

Yeah, Macie just likes to watch the water swirl, too. I'd love to know what she's thinking about as it gets sucked down...

Can't Resist posting this pic

when I saw this thread....

We were installing new toilets in our house, last Summer... and Nimbus thought that porcelain bowl was the coolest place to hang out, while we were waiting for the installation.

Terrific thread

Reminded me of the little Kikatsu my daughter had, as a kitten he followed her in one day and seing the paper being tossed jumped after it just as she flushed ... she grabbed him by the scruff in time

Misti loves water of any kind, I've even called her a "water-cat"! Any water-sounds, and she comes running from where-ever she is, even when we take water from the cooler. She sits and watches when we shower and jump in as soon as there is no more "rain", playing in the puddles. And dish-washing time? Her paws clean as much as my sponge!

Open toilet seats ... pretty bad as far as Feng Shui btw, but that's another story.

LOVE the pics!
