Cool How can you tell if your cat is in heat?

Hello I have two cats... One is spade and shes 5 years old, but i recently bought a new cat in augest (she was born in july) And she has all of a sudden started meowing really really loud. And jumping and rolling all over the floor.. I think she is in heat but my mother doubts my guesses. Could it be to early for her to have her first heat? It doesn't bother me I was just wondering. And if she is in heat, and we get her pregnant will my other cat eat her kittens?

Brianna.
