Stella & Chewys
I'm thinking of trying Stella & Chewy's. Does anyone like this food. If not, what problems have you experienced. I noticed they have organic beets and organic beet fiber. Would that be the same as beet pulp & is beets really beneficial to dogs? Thanks.

It is a Wisconsin-made product (& I live in Wisconsin). I was told that their facility is exceptionally clean. I would have no reservations about any of their products. I don't, personally, carry any of their products, but there are a couple retailers here in Green Bay who do & people seem to like it.

Beet pulp is actually what's left over after the sugar is removed. Beet pulp is used in dog food because it's a stool hardner and I tend to avoid foods with beet pulp because the hardner could mask problems.
The only thing I would worry about with raw beets is the high sugar content.

Kandy - I was thinking the same thing - converts to a high sugar content. Of course for diabetic dogs, this probably wouldn't be good ingredient.
