Thank you, Pets.ca!
I just wanted to take a moment to say thanks... to everybody on this board.
You guys have helped me out so much with Tommy's issues with advice, information and support - I can't tell you how much you've all helped! And now with all of these food recalls, I've realized how much I've learned on here. I have friends who were feeding some of the recalled foods, and because of all of your posts I've been able to help them find better foods for their furkids. Many weren't even very aware of the recall since it was very under-reported. My family all have dogs and cats too, and while their foods weren't on the list they've also been worried enough that I've been able to educate them on bad ingredients and they've switched to better foods, too. My sister's newest bichon, who was throwing up every day, hasn't vomited in almost two weeks since they changed foods... my mom's 15 year old chihuahua, blind in one eye and full of arthritis, is acting years younger and gobbling every bite of her meals now... and her cats, who also used to vomit several times a week, haven't thrown up several days and have energy to spare. If anything good comes out of all of this, it's that owners are becoming better educated and pets are becoming better fed. I wouldn't have known anything at all to help them out if I hadn't been reading this board for months. Not everybody has the time or the internet access to read through all of this stuff and research things, and I don't know if you guys realize just how much the information you provide is actually getting spread around. My mom called me tonight to ask for foods to recommend to their neighbours, because she has now been telling people how bad their supermarket pet food is! So, thank you. And I hope you guys realize how much your information and advice is helping people who don't even come here! |
