Saying hello after a long absence....
I've been absent from the pets.ca community for about 2 years and its time to start up again. I now have two ferrets along with my much loved Leonberger rescue BooBoo. Boo came to me just over 2 years ago as a 2 yr. old overbred and abused dog who was frightened of everything and looked like she had lived in a concentration camp.....She is now a beautiful and incredible girl with an amazing personality. My husband and I rescued 2 ferrets recently that are two years old and after just one month they respond to their respective names....Lily and Rosey....give kisses and have never bitten......I didn't know what I was missing....these two (nicnamed the weasel sisters) bring a smile to your face and you end up laughing out loud at the high jicks of the two bundles of energy......my daughter lives in our basement and she has two cats......our house is a circus and I love it.........
Right now I am trying to learn all I can about our ferrets. I am very proud to say that in the last month..  I have found new homes for a two year male rottweiler whose owner could not keep him and a 7 month old chihuahua whose owner just didn't want him....both dogs found great homes...with friends of mine who have the same love I do for all animals....

Welcome back, vel.
Um....so, having been here before you know we're going to demand updated pictures...so where are they?  I love ferrets!  Can't wait to see them and see how Boo looks now!

Pics will be coming
Hazelrunpack thanks for the reply...I went to take pics last night and the batteries in my camera were dead...plan to take thousands this weekend. Lily and Rosey will have their poses down pat...and Boo's "boyfriend" Toby the Border Collie is visiting and the two of them get into some pretty amusing perdicaments....

Hello Vel,
Welcome back. I too have been away for some time - although I do try to pop in once in a while. This is such a great place, isn't it? You have quite the managerie, sounds like a great combination. I look forward to seeing the pictures.
