Also a newcomer
I didnt even tell everyone about myself and my pet family. I live in Georgia and we board 3 horses, house 4 dogs and 1 cat. Needless to say we are animal lovers. I wrote in earlier today hoping for some advise about my Rottie's bumps. Does anyone know if dogs get warts?
This seems to be a great sight that I stumbled on and hopefully can get help on question as well as maybe help others. Wendy |

Bumps are a tricky thing that a vet should really look at. You don't want to worry over nothing and you need to know from the 'horses' mouth exactly what they are right?
I didnt' read your other threat but it would also depend on whether they're rash type bumps or bumps that suddenly appeared, whether they've been there awhile and don't get bigger or do get bigger. Allergies can bring out certain rash/hive type bumps as can reactions to bug bites. Other bumps can be warts, cysts, tumours. So it's hard to say w/o a vet looking at them unless u wanted to post a picture of them???

I took a picture of it but when I went to put it on the sight it refused saying to big of a file. Looks as though to the vet we go for a peek.

Well we saw the vet and he says not to worry its a wart. only needs to come off if it starts to bleed or looks bad.
Thanks for the answers Wendy |

My previous dog had a lot of warts on his forehead and around his eyes and chest. We had them all surgically removed as they would 'catch' on things.

If that happens, for sure they will come off. We will be watching them closely.

I understand some breeds are more prone to these and many senior dogs get them. Senior people too!
