Nostalgia Trivia Game
I haven't been able to guess too many of the songs from the thread in this forum (far to new material) so I thought I would make a trivia game for the old timers. I will ask a question and then once answered, that person can then continue with a nostalgia question of their choice.
This may not even work, I don't think too many of us were watching TV in the 50's or early 60's. Oh well, here it goes. What was the name of Sky King's niece?

In no particular order : Sylvia Anderson ....... Lady Penelope Ray Barrett ........... John Tracy / The Hood Peter Dyneley ......... Jeff Tracy Christine Finn ........ Tin-Tin / Grandma David Graham .......... Gordon Tracy / Brains / Parker / Kyrano David Holliday ........ Virgil Tracy Shane Rimmer .......... Scott Tracy Jeremy Wilkin ......... Virgil Tracy (1966) Matt Zimmerman ........ Alan Tracy And don't feel bad I googled for a picture ~ I could remember Lady Penelope and only 1/2 of the Tracy bro's. |

Got me. Love to see a pic. It's been eons. Remember the visible string hanging the meteorites and planets ?
I'll warn you now, I almost always lose inTV trivia because I've never watched a whole lot. I always liked Lady Penelope though ~ she was funny in an ironic sort of way. Almost like a precursor to Dianna Rigg's character ( XXXX Steele) in The Avengers. |

The string was half the fun of watching.
OK now check out this link (hope it works) for a hit from 1969. And the kids today think we were so square in our music. Geeeezzz http://www.rondante.com/multimedia/suger69.mp3 One listen to this and they will know that we were hip and cool daddy oooh!

I love the Avengers!! I have DVD set that has 6 episodes, with one of my favorites "Death at Bargain Prices". The department store makes me think of that show "Are you being served?"

I thought I was "older" and I know none of this - never heard of the first one, heard of the Avengers but we did not have a TV (my mom would not have one when we were little tho my grandparents did tho it attracted one French channel so there would have been no Avengers. Maybe Sarphin (sp?), lol) or Don Messer's Jubillee - about the only English show it would broadcast because even Francophones like fiddle tunes in the Maritimes.
