New Food...Again

Well we've decided to switch Jesse again. We just switched from Wellness to Merrick. Not because of problems with Wellness, but because of problems with the supplier. Before we would order a case of Wellness and it would take 2-3 days to get in, then it was longer and longer and longer. Eventually it seemed to be taking a week and a half. We were just not happy with it. I then found another place who sells holistic food and they had Merricks. So for her dry kibble she is getting the Cowboy Cookout and for the canned that we mix in with it, we bought the variety pack. We still have two cans of the Wellness left so we are doing Merricks one day, then Wellness the next until she is switched over. She absolutely loves it -- so much better than the Wellness and it's actually less expensive. So Mommy is happy too.

My doggies don't get the chicken ones because of Boo.. They love pretty well all the other bison/trout/venison ones.

mmmmmm merrick's.....I used to add the canned stuff to Layla's wellness for a treat.... she was in heaven when she was eating it! Not to mention that they make "smaller serving" cans, which is nice when you're just adding a dollop or two to the dry food. How can you not love the descriptions of the foods too?

The Greek Isles are a lovely place to visit. As the sun sets tonight, you are dining seaside with that special someone. The banquet of lamb, fresh vegetables and fruits is fit for royalty. The Merrick family is happy to offer the taste of the Mediterranean to your furry friend wherever you may call home. The Merricks say "bon appetite"
I still have a couple of cans lying around, and have even on raw, her tail starts wagging when she sees me opening one of them.

(BMD said her dozens of doggies don't like the mediterranean banquet so much compared to the others...) Just thought I'd mention that.

This is the variety pack we got her that she is going insane over:

The price I pay is a lot less than they offer on the website. Same thing with the dry food:

LOL, I have to admit, I've never tried that one, I just think the description is funny. Layla usually had Thanksgiving Day Dinner, Campfire Trout Feast, Napa Valley Picnic, Venison Holiday Stew and Wild Buffalo Grill.

You should smell this stuff, it seriously smells good enough to eat. I was almost tempted to grab a fork and try it, but then realized it's still dog food and I'm not a kid any longer and I can't eat the dogs food.

(Yes I did that when I was a little kid.)

Tucker loves the chicken/turkey ones... Grammys Pot Pie, Turducken, Thanksgiving Dinner, Wing a Ling... when I first opened Grammy's Pot Pie, my bf almost tasted it - I had to grab it away from him and remind him it's the dog's food.

the Venison is totally out though. Venison doesn't agree w/ his system for some reason. (found out the hard way... barf!)

I like the gravy ones for mixing in w/ his kibble (easier for me to actually MIX it) and the more solid ones are great for Kong stuffing.
