Just where is the top of the food chain??

I was in a meeting a few days ago and the topic of how smart the human race is came up and as soon as we started to compare humans to animals all of a sudden it was amazing how we have made it to the top and stayed there for so long.
Interestingly humans appear to be the only animal that cannot truly exist in it's natural habitat anymore when in fact animals are smart enough to.
We live in homes (protected and controlled environments) and cover ourselves with additional layers to keep warm and shed them to cool off. As for eating, how many of us could go into our natural (nature) environment and provide enough to eat and feed our family with nothing more than our body, speed and strength.
Animals like our assistance to make their life easier but in fact they could survive with less help than we can.
Interesting thought.
Just wanted to pass it along.

Well Woody I guess we as the most intelligent animals have evolved from the stone-age and used our brains to make life easier, not necessarily better, but definetly easier and in doing so have managed to destroy much of what our ancestors treasured and nurtured.
So,maybe it's time we used our brains to restore what we have destroyed.

Remember the Y2K scare? I am still lmao over that one....people everywhere were stock piling bottle water and cannned good's..going freakin' goofy! Pulling money out of their banks...filling up all vehicles with fuel.
I didn't even go out and buy a candle.

A very nice lady client at the animal hospital I worked at was in panic mode just prior to the "BIG NIGHT"...she resides for the most part in London, UK and part time here in Florida...she felt stuck here since she could not get a flight out and stocked her house here to the brim...no room to walk even!
She asked me why I was not worried...
I gave her a simple answer...tomorrow, all crops will still grow and the fish will still swim. I think that put things into perspective for her as she did calm down. I went to sleep at 10pm on New Years Eve and was awaken by my alarm clock the next morning, an electric alarm clock I forgot to turn off.
Life does go on ...

Lmao! I think Mr. Billy Gates spent millions...without batting an eyelash of course..on divising a way for his computers to roll over to the new date..then he sent his butler & maid to the store to stock up candles.
He probably sipped his Moet & Dom by candle light as the clock struck 12....

Y2K certainly did boost the economy....not mine though.
