Peanut butter for puppies?
I keep hearing about putting peanut butter in kongs, etc to keep a dog occupied. Is it safe to give peanut butter to puppies? I have a 12 week old JRT, is that too young for peanut butter? Is there any particular kind or any ingredients to watch out for?

I think in moderation its ok. Dont fill the kong with half a jar of PB lol, but a tablespoon would be ok i would think. And freeze it. Last longer

Both my dogs LOVE Peanut Butter! Buster started getting PB and Toast when he was about 10 weeks old (a little piece of crust with a dab of PB). Now both Harley and Buster get toast and PB every morning.
Before I go to work, I put PB in Buster's Kong and then shove a little cookie in it. Not sure how long it keeps him busy, but he sure looks forward to it every morning. |
