RIP Arizona. You didn't say how she died but sudden death in cats is not uncommon (usually due to heart irregularities) and there is probably nothing you could have done. So please don't feel guilty, grieve for your friend and remember the good times. Have you got a picture?

I'm sooo sorry for your loss
Sudden death (or even death) is never easy. Arizona knows how much you loved her and she would not want you to be so sad when you gave her everything she needed in this world.

there is alot of wonderful people here for you in your time of need take comfort in knowing that, and that you are not alone

I appreciate all of your support.Let me tell what happened

Arizona was my cat, my best friend. She started throwing up her food, which I thought was the ordinary hairball thing. I gave her her hairball med. and she did fine. She started getting sick again, all night. I took her to the vet on Monday and all he did was give her a shot to stop the sickness, he mentioned doing a barium and xrays I agreed. I picked her up and he said she had not been sick all day "OF COURSE NOT, YOU GAVE HER SOMETHING TO STOP IT." He had done nothing for her ALL DAY. That nite she was sick again all nite, the next am I took her back and the Dr. found a tumor in her intestines and said he needed to remove it I agreed, he called on and off during her surgury. He called when he had finished the surgery and said everything went well. He call back and said her heart was beating but she wouldn't breath. next time he called she was dead. hit me with a 800.00 bill and sent me home to bury my baby. I don't mind paying for my animals doctor bills, but this was just a slap in the face.
I am still in shock and the pain is so deep it is sometime unbearable. I will put a picture of her on here, she was beautiful Thanks Guys:

I'm so sorry for your loss. It's hard enough to lose a beloved pet when you have time to prepare yourself, let alone when it is sudden and you're doing everything you can.

I am with badger - I am very sorry to hear of your loss and many of us here have lost pets and still mourn them. But try to think iof all the happiness your kitty brought to you - the good times you shared - and that will sustain you through the days. I lost my bunny a few yrs ago and I still have a tough time seeing bunnies (sigh!) but my cats keep me busy and I know his spirit is there and he is at Rainbow Bridge waiting for me.

Take care!!

Welcome Debbie3...Unfortunately it's under such  circumstances. I'm so sorry you lost your kitty in such a sudden way. Take comfort in knowing you've done all you could, and your kitty had a wonderful life with you. The hurt may never go away, but you will always have the happy times as memories to ease the hurt. Do you have any other animals that could help you during this difficult time? My thoughts & prayers are with you and your family... Arizona
