High quality cat food suggestions

I am reading that a lot of members on this forum feed their cats the RAW diet.
I might get there eventually but for now I am just looking for high quality cat food for a cat in good health.

Thank you from me and sammy

Hi normad, and welcome to pets.ca!

What does Sammy currently eat?

Some tips on what ingredients to look for in a good canned food can be found at this link: http://www.catinfo.org/?link=cannedfoods

Not sure what you have available near you, but some of the brands I feed my crew (along with 2 meals a day of raw) include Wellness, Nature's Variety, Precise, Weruva, Murr, Schesir, ZiwiPeak, and probably a bunch more I'm forgetting. I think variety is important when feeding cats (although try to minimize the amount of fish-based flavours, which aren't particularly healthy for cats for a few reasons): it mitigates any nutritional deficiencies or excesses that might occur when only 1 or 2 products are fed, and it helps prevent cats getting addicted to that food.

Hope that helps!

Thank you sugarcatmom for all that information. Sammy is on Wellneas dry complete health and be is doing okay. I'm reading though that people like wet food better which is why I am thinking about a switch.
