Below, Pete, in lightly falling snow, in Cat Creek Canyon . . .

Signs of early winter in Cat Creek Canyon . . .

But a nice day for Pete after climbing out of the Canyon below . . .

Before daybreak, Pete and Ruby watch a herd of about 100 elk on the other side of their fence, a fairly normal occurrence in the Spring and Fall . . . and sometimes in winter. We are on a local migration route . . .

Lovely action shots, Rick. The look on Pete's face is so comical. The pair watching the Elk is amazing, unimaginable to me as an Aussie. Beautiful scenery and such lovely dogs, thanks for sharing their lives this way. The colours in that last canyon shot are wonderful.

Absolutely stunning pics, Rick. And Pete and Ruby are the luckiest dogs to have the opportunity to go on such adventures

These are such beautiful pictures, Rick. The one of your two watching the elk is just amazing. My little ones would never sit so calmly! Thanks for the pictures, they were a delight, as always!
