Cat Cold?

Hi All

I was wondering if anyone could tell me how long a cat cold lasts?

A week ago my kitten (he's 3 months) started sleeping more and not playing, then he started sneezing and watery eyes. For a few days he was barely eating, but always drank water. He had like one day of constipation, but is back using the litter box.

Now, he's eating wet food. I have forced fed him some kibble. He's not sneezing as much, but i can tell he still has some congestion in his nose. He still sleeps, and doesn't play (though he is walking around more) and his eyes have pretty well cleared up. He appears to be on the mend. But I'm wondering how long until he's back to his old self.

Please dont tell me to take him to the vet, I am looking into that but am on a limited budget. The meds he would be given would do nothing for the cold itself, and are just to bar against a secondary baterial infection, which i am keeping an eye out for.
He has a runny nose, but its clear, same with his watery eyes.
