New from Alberta

I just found this site when looking for recipes to make my dogs some homemade biscuits. I have a 10 yr old Samoyed named Chinook ( F) She's an absolutly amazing animal. We just moved to Alberta from Northern Manitoba and she and the kids didn't do the transition too well... so we went and got a pup for them as a Christmas gift. Chinook wasn't too sure at first... but the pup sure has taken some years off of her. She was acting pretty old. The new pup is Macy. She is a 4 month old Shiba Inu. She's got the most amazing face and personality. She jsut cracks me up constantly. Having these 2 girls has made me want to go back to school and take my Aminal Health Tech. Our move happened a little late in the year for me to apply for the coming fall... but the next year I will be attending.

Thanks for the compliments. We just got the snow here about 3 days ago. The winter has been weird. This place isn'ta bad place to live... but the place I moved from in December is God's country. I'll have to dig up a few pictures of it.

You are only a short distance away from Edmonton,my middle son lives in Vermilion,2 hours east of Edmonton and yes,it's been a weird winter all around.

hello

hi there,

I just found this site today I have 9 Rough Collies I breed and show them as a
hobby love them all to bits. One of my young ones is sick at the moment she
has picked up an e coli infection and is in the vets on a drip things are better but she still has a way to go. Where about in Alberta are you we lived in Calgary for a few years in the 1980's have been to Manitoba it was the coldest place i have ever been . loved your pictures. I live in Arbroath in Scotland but my son has settled in Toronto he started school in Calgary and always wanted to go back he finished his University here in Scotland and then got a job in Toronto. hope to speak to you again
bye for now
Barbara

That's funny because Scotland is top on my list of places to see. MY father's whole family is Scottish and from the stories I"m told...there is still some ancestry there. I am about 20 minutes south of Edmonton in Alberta. Back in Manitoba is was pretty far north. It was chilly there..but believe it or not... you get used to it.
