How did you find pets.ca?

I was just wondering how everyone found pets.ca?

i came across pets.ca while on a search engine trying to find out info for toilet training my kitties. After asking the members here, I came to the conclusion that toilet training wasn't good for them and never did it. And then I stuck around.

Wait a minute before posting, a poll is coming.

Oh, and I came here after googling "menadione sodium bisulfite complex" as I was looking for dog kibble made in Canada that didn't have it as an ingredient.

I also think it would be great if members would give an explanation no matter what option they vote for.

I came here looking for information about hip displaysia just after Puppy was diagnosed, I was looking for good news about it, but found none. Thanks for ripping my heart out who ever bred his parents.

I think I found it by googling around for symptoms my cat was having at the time. Either that or I was researching dog/cat interactions (I had just gotten a new dog, he was chasing my cat, injured her and also gave her kennel cough).

I found pets.ca when my brother lost his cat in NDG. I surfed my way here to see if anyone had found her. She was found safe and sound 2 days later in the basement of their apartment building.

I found this site when my Harley had Blastomycosis and I couldn't find any info on it. Lucky for me, Harley is a survivor and is doing great!

I thought so, but I'm too lazy to search and after heidiho's thread about so many new members I thought it would be interesting to find out what brought so many newbies here all at once. Although so far none of the newbies have posted, hmmm...

Newbie here! I usually hang out on the Feline Diabetes Message Board (which is awesome, in case anyone else here has a diabetic cat and hasn't been there), but it was kinda slow the other day so I decided to check out this link while surfing about, and viola! here I am . . . addicted. Not that I post too terribly much, but I love to read everything. There's a great knowledge base here and some wonderfully compassionate people. Rock on, fellow animal lovers!!

OMG, HarleyBuster! I didn't know that! Harley is a very lucky guy indeed! So glad he's okay!

I can't remember what I was searching for--something completely unrelated--and saw a posted question. When I came to investigate, I got hooked...

Thanks! It was a tough 4-5 months but he made it and is his normal grumpy self....

I googled "montreal dog licenses" and ended up here. Almost any google search that is about pets posts a pets.ca link in the top five.

It makes me sad to think about but I'll post it anyway. I found pets.ca through a search engine when Joey was sick. Two different vets told us he had a herniated disk but my instincts said they were wrong. They wanted him crated, which we did but instead of getting better he kept getting worse. So I came here looking for advice. Sadly, my instincts were correct and Joey had a tumor. I was devastated. Still am.

And then we got Cooper and everyone here has been wonderful with advice, pretty much helping me raise him. Not that I've been all that good about listening--he is a very spoiled little boy.

A little over a year ago, I googled severe dog aggression and a post on this site popped up. I kind of perused now and then but mainly in the pet health and dog training forums. Then almost forgot about pets.ca until Poodletalk mentioned it in conversation one day. So I decided to investigate a little further, registered, and yep, I'm hooked now too.

I've made so many new friends here, with a little ness in common and a lot of wisdom in common as well. I need a daily fix of the laughs the TJTers offer but most of all, I am most grateful to the rescuers who offer so much support, guidance, and deeply felt warmth .

I was searching for info on dog foods. Stalked the forum anonymously for a while and then jumped in with both feet and lots of paws .

I typed in a search as to why my dog was itching. Came here, found out about food allergies and voila, itchy dog is now happy dog.

I found this site,through an ex-friend..
I found an abcess on her dogs neck, she never did because she never petted her 24/7 outdoor dog(Husky/Great Dane X)
Instead of taking the dog to the vet,she found this Forum..tried treating the abcess herself, but ended up having the dog euthanized, for no reason at all:sad: other than she hated her:sad:
Then when Rocky had a hizzy-fit,I came back here and found some great people to help,Lucky,Luba etc...and realized the first thing you would have told my ex-friend was to take her dog to a vet.
Judging by my number of posts,I am obviously hooked

I was googling for cat info too when we got our new kitty in feb. She went through a rather obnoxious phase (pouncing at faces etc) and i was looking for info on that and any other tips for newbie pet owners.

She is mellowing out now

I was especially happy to find a CANADIAN site. Got nothing against our friends south of the border, but for me it's always a bonus when something I like is "homegrown"

I was googling one day, trying to find information on dealing with cancer in dogs. I clicked on one choice and it gave me Pets.ca and as I read the information I seen that the whole board was a wealth of information.

So I joined, I read mostly...have revealed how passionate I am in regards to all animals.
Being part of this forum has made me a better fur mom,
Thank You for being such a great pet loving community

Your animal loving friend,
