part of white of eye bulging out?

she is my first dog, a cocker pug, 6 months old, and suddenly she has a weird swelling of the bottom of the white of her eye - what is it? is this normal for dogs, is this an emergency, i don't have a clue! it's not the whole eye, just part of the white - any help would be much appreciated!

Any way to post a pic of the swelling, copperbean? Regardless, I'd be making a vet appt as soon as possible--eyes are too important to mess with and if there's something going on with the eye itself, she should be seen as soon as you can get her in.

In general, as far as i know, a bulging eye is a serious condition (and sometimes it's an emergency) and the more the bulge, the more serious it is. Pugs are known for this actually.

If this were my dog she would be seeing the vet immediately. At the very least I'd be calling my vet immediately to better clearly describe the condition.
Good luck!
