Hi all

This is Stella. I got her from Pima County Care and Control in July after they found her as a stray out in the desert near Suaharita Arizona. She was housebroken and sweet and we are now working on her 'people skills' as she can be jumpy with people.

That picture was taken at the pound where they were calling her 'spook', which I didnt think was right so now she's my Stella Blue (for the blue eyes).

She's quite a head-turner when folks see her at the park or when were out for walks with the bright blue eyes. Just need to teach her some manners and myself some discipline

LOL!! My dad calls Jemma "Spook" too!! That's so funny! It came about after the vet said she was "Spooky looking" with her black fur and blue eyes.

Welcome to the board, too!

Welcome to the forum. Stella is very pretty. She looks like a smaller version of Prin's Jemma with those beautiful blue eyes.

Figured I'd post this cause Kasha would poop in my shoes if she found out that I didnt. She's jealous enough of the puppy as it is.

*edit: Kasha was rescued from the Wilmington Delaware SPCA in Dec, 1993

Beautiful furkids

When you say Stella is jumpy with people, you don't mean scared do you?

As "spook" can used to refer to dogs that are very fearful.

Jumpy meaning that she jumps on people cause shes so excited.

The 'spook' name at the pound was (I think) because of her being a black dog with blue eyes, but the potential racial connotation was bad so that was not going to be her name.

I cant remember what that little glass was. Too small to be a brandy snifter, and that was before I worked for the worlds largest booze company so it wasnt a giveaway from them (I had lots but dont work there anymore).

So yeah.. Kasha gets the house during the day when Im at work, and Stella gets it at night, although Ive started having short 'together' times so that the dog can try to be calm around the cat and the cat can decide that she doesnt want to continually slap the dog. So far so good.. they usually just choose to ignore each other.
