Heavy Heart!!!

I must admit today was the toughest day of my life. Today I had to put down my 3 year old white lab down becasue of lymphoma. You look at things you could have done or should have done, but nothing make sense. It has been very difficult the past weeks as you watch them detiorate slowly and there is nothing you can do but try and comfort them. He always tried to be energetic but his body was shutting down ever so rapidly, he just looked sadder and sadder each and every day. As we now look back in retrospect, the joy he brought and the ever-lasting memories that bring smiles to many. I guess God needed another partner to play with. Sorry for the long message, just doing a rant. Brody you will missed forever!!!

Oh no! Brody baby you're now free of any disease and pain, running freely wind blowing through your ears and a big smile on your face!

Do you have any pictures?

I'm so sorry such a young life to miss so soon.
((hugs))

I'm so sorry to hear this. I'm sure there is nothing you did, or didn't do, to blame yourself for. These things just happen sometimes and no one can predict it.

Brody was lucky to have such a loving home!

We are so sorry! I want to tell what I was told in April when I lost my 2 yr old black Lab. Don't feel bad wondering if there was more you could do, you know in your heart that you love Brody and gave him the best life he could have. Not only that but you were big enough to help Brody when you were needed the most and let the pain stop and his new life begin As the next few days pass you will live with pain and you can't stop thinking about how you miss Brody, Brody
is always there. Loving his family for allowing him to join them in life and stay with them in death. He is watching over you tonight, paceful and content because you did the right thing and let yourself hurt and not him. God Bless you

I cried reading your post! I think every member on here can identify with you and we all share your pain. It's the hardest thing a pet owner has to do, and the most dreaded. The pain is so devastating, and yet, as you already know, the 3 years of memories and joy are worth it. My sympathies to you and your family. I'd love to see a picture of your baby.

I am so, so very sorry about your baby. 3 years is way too young for this to happen.

My thoughts are with you and your family.

I will be thinking of you in the coming days....

Oh, you definately are not ranting, you're grieving a sad loss of a very good friend. Each time you recall fond memories..............you are closer to opening your heart to another.

sorry

Hpman,How sad and when people here say,I know how you feel,we really do...
We love our little four-legged furry wonders
,who bring so much joy and so many comforting cuddles, but when bad things happen all we can do is be there and love them to the end and you did.
The pain will ease, although at the moment you might not think so and you'll have wonderful memories of beautiful Brody and the love you shared.

I too am very sorry for your loss, 3 years is young but also enough time to have a good life and bring joy into you and your family's lives. Just think of all the good times you 've had and cherish them to keep brody's memory alive.
Don't dwell on "what you could've done" but "what you did for him".

There is a lovely poem that helped me alot when I had to have my beloved Bandit put down for Lymphnode cancer I put it on his tribute site here on pets.ca perhaps you can make a site for Brody it was good therapy for me.

Here is the link

I'm very sorry.

So young for Brody to have gone Home, but think of the time you had rather than the time you lost. I'll bet you wouldn't trade those three years with him for ten years with another.

Sincere condolences.
