First bath story!
We had Cano for only about a week, before I decided to give him his first bath. Two days before the bath, he had learned how to go down the stairs. That was a job teaching him how to do that, but that is another story. Cano was trying constantly to get out of the tub. He hated being in there, even though the water was only a couple inches deep. When his bath was over, I drained the tub, and dried him off. He went running for the steps (hard wood ones at that) and ended up sliding down all of them. It was so funny. He tried coming back up to the top of the steps where I was, but his paws were too slippery! I think that he might have wanted to do it again!

Good for Cano!
Lol Lilith...maybe he did enjoy his bath? whenever I gave Cujo,my other golden a bath,he would find the nearest rug and rub himself all over it..Hannah hasnt learned how to do that now,she so she rubs against the bed skirt and the tables..thinking they will help her dry

You guys are lucky! I always forget to close the bedroom door and Den-Den makes a bee-line to our bed and plays "Roto-Rooter"!

I have a "trick" that I just discovered works. First I prepare her toys, comb, treats and hairdryer all in the same place. She used to run around the tub but once I put her in this square looking container that's about 6 inch in height, she just stayed there. Didn't even figured out that she could step out of that thing. When it's time to blowdry, I attract her with toys/treats and anything she's attracted to. Made my life a little easier. She used to run around the house like a maniac after bath.

I wish that Cano was small enough for that. He is 50 pounds, and I don't think that there is a container big enough for him!! I think that he will be fine with his next bath. I still haven't given him one since I posted this thread (bad mommy).
