Buddy

Buddy, our beautiful dog passed away tonight after a week long fight to stay with us. He had a wonderful life filled with sunshine, freedom, and pride. The farm won't ever be the same without you.
Today was the first day your eyes weren't bright with life and you finally let go. Despite your freedom, you never took advantage by running away off the property, or chasing or harming any other living thing. You were a prince.
A loving companion, a good friend, a joyful soul.

Bud fell asleep finally tonight curled up with cat George. In the end, it came very quickly and peacefully, as we all prayed for it to happen. I believe that you are waking to a healthy body and old friends and you'll watch for our other babes when they come to you.I'm imagining you running with Molly, Phoenix, Tallah and Tawny at Rainbow Bridge- and if there's a heaven, you're in it fella.

Hugs and condelences from across the ocean Ive followed your other thread he sounds like a brilliant and courageous dog.

He is now free of all discomfort and running through the fields at the bridge waiting for your parents to come and collect him.

My healing thoughts are sent to your and your parents.

My condolences to your family. Your dog had a wonderful life and I'm sure there wasn't any easier way to pass away then while Buddy was curled up with your cat. Buddy

Thank you so much everyone. Just to let you know, we had Buddy's funeral today and I read this tribute and everyone's condolences as well. My family was very touched. He is buried with a copy of your words and kind thoughts beside him, as well as some cookies, a bottle of water, and a ball. It was a nice (but very coooooooold!) sendoff, with lots of tears and memories.

Thanks again for your support.

Sincere and deepest condolences to you and your family for your loss. Buddy was extremely lucky to have been taken into your home and loved by your family. I know it is hard for you now, but in time, your wounds will heal and you will always be blessed with many precious memories. Mocha and I have you and your family in our thoughts and prayers

Buddy, God bless you for giving your family the love and devotion you did in your time on this Earth.
