Dog Ear Infection

My dog has an ear infection, and I am wondering whether or not it is safe to treat it with polysporin ear drops for humans. I actually have tried them once tonight, since I can not possibly get in to the vet for a couple more days. Please advise A.S.A.P.

Hi Pimlott,

How do you know the dog has an ear infection.

I AM NOT a vet. But I have given polysporin to my own pets for eye and ear trouble in a low dose. and it helped.

But I know that the vet will have a better antibiotic than polysporin to treat the infection, if that is in fact the problem.
