Poor Charlotte!

This adult female cat - who will one day be drop-dead gorgeous - is a dilute calico who was found near death by a kind lady who has spent 500$ to save her life and return her to health.

This lady cannot keep her, and after how hard Charlotte has fought to survive, she needs the very best home we can find her!
If you would like to help this girl, call Debbie at (450) 424-0455 or email Lucky Rescue

I'm confused....

she's shaved or somehow hairless on that part of her body?

the poor girl's so thin.....
my heart goes out to her... I wish she finds the best home possible for her!

Yes, she had to be shaved as she was so badly matted she could barely move and was in a lot of discomfort.

Dilute Calicos are gorgeous, and she will be again!

This poor girl is about 7 or 8 years old and how she survived I will never know.

That's great news!!!
Being a not so great believer in people,I am hoping Charlotte was not emotionally scarred and the new owners won't find her too difficult and bring her back...but I assume they have been made aware of her painful past.
Is that how it goes,Lucky? Do people bring back cats if they are too difficult?
Update on Comet

Anita, we try and screen people the very best we can, but sometimes mistakes are made.

People who seem like the perfect home sometimes aren't.

Yes,we have cats brought back - but very very seldom. The latest was this month. We adopted out a 10 yr old cat. She had lived her whole life outside and probably had 100 kittens. She has a heart murmur, but is very sweet and loveable.

An older man who was lonely eagerly adopted her and seemed thrilled.

Then the complaints started. She didn't immediately jump out of her carrry case into his lap like a dog might.

He didn't like the way her tummy sagged (although his own sagged too - LOL!)

Finally he told us that she had "Ripped his sofa apart(!!!) That did it and we went and took her back.

But usually people are thrilled and call a long time later to thank us for the wonderful addition to their homes. We try to match the cat's personality to the adopter's and to their situation.

Comet is still sick with the rhino and still wearing the ecollar to keep him from scratching his ears, but is now allowing the vet staff to handle him and clean his face each day, so we have hopes that perhaps he is not as wild as originally thought and maybe was once someone's pet.

We still have no one willing to take him however.

Oh Comet my darling I'll be hoping for you! And behave yourself so you can get that terrible collar off.

Hey LR remember someone used a margarine container rather then those stupid collars and it worked great??? Who was that? Remember? Maybe this could be adapted on Comet?

Yes, Luba - I remember. But that was for licking, and it would'nt stop the ear scratching.

Hopefully his ears will be healed enough soon that the collar can come off, but the vet said she had never seen ears so badly scratched as his were.

For all of you who cared,I'm so sorry to have to say that after only 6 months in her new home, little Charlotte has gone to the Bridge.

R.I.P. Charlotte. At least you had a home and were loved at the end.

I missed this thread the first time around. How sad! What a shame to find a loving home and then only be for 6 months! Life's not fair! I'm glad she had that 6 months!

I got even more bad news, but don't want to depress anyone worse than I have, so I'll keep it to myself.

OK anyone who doesn't want any more bad news, don't scroll down any further.

LuckyRescue, please share? I want to know what it is, not out of morbid fascination but for the fact that it is obviously bothering you.

NOPE! Comet has turned into a big sleek beautiful boy, who demands attention by grabbing his owner's ankles, and who bullies the family dog unmercifully.
