Anyone have a training tip for an indiot husband?
Just to share my personal experience for the day (I know it should likely be in the general forum but I thought training talk had a certain flare to it this evening), my husband FORGOT (yes, that is right, in his own words "forgot") about our dog today while I was out of town on business. Came home, parked the car and then walked off to have dinner. Poor little guy was bursting so bad when my husband got back that he had an accident right in the hallway in front of him - hope it was out of spite! Our dog is almost 6 months old and is potty trained - if given the chance!
Just venting - no harm done!! Needless to say, the waiting area for my flight was laughing pretty hard when I got off the phone with him! And this is why we do not have children! |

No advice, but a similar story ...
My dogs stay in the "dog room" (spare bedroom set up for dogs) during the day while we are at work. My partner gets home a couple of hours before I usually do, so he is supposed to take them outside for a pee as soon as he gets in. One day I got off work early and came home about 20 minutes after he gets home, and saw the babygate still up, dogs still in the dog room, and partner sitting on the sofa watching hockey. Oh the look on his face when he realized he'd been caught! Believe me, he heard about it from me alright ... RDM

Hmmmmm, I am suspecting a trend..... Perhaps they went to the same "finishing school" for partners? We must find out the name of that educational centre and lobby to have it shut down for failure to properly educate!

The men are the ones that really need the baby gates

Ha!
Mick has done that, and it pi$$ed me off no end to come home at 8pm from work to find HIM fed and relaxing, while the dogs were practically crossing their legs by the back door and wondering where their dinner was... It took a while to get Mick trained. Now if he gets home before me he'll even call my cell to tell me he was a good boy and let the dogs out, fed them, & fed the cat. I think he does that because he wants a treat.

Ladies, you're something else, alright... and I like it! hehehehe... another wonderful reason why there's no need to have kids this morning I caught my bf adding a glass of water to the doggie water feeder... I take that 2 Litre container and fill it up in the bathroom! what makes him think that's enough water for two pointers??! |
