Bear Sharpei?

Has anybody every heard of a Bear Sharpei? Sounds like another designer dog to me. Looks like a golden crossed sharpei. An acquaintance of mine has two of them.

Yup!! They're most likely a bear coated Sharpei, which are just adorable! They kinda remind me of a Chow. The pic you posted doesn't look like any of the bear coats I've seen though, they're not as fluffy, but I'm sure there are different coat lengths within the breed

I love Sharpeis, but I don't like how unpredictable and moody they can be lol

Bear coated Sharpeis are purebred too!

These two are fairly young, so maybe their coats will thicken. I have never heard of them until he e-mailed me. I had asked him about his previous Sharpei and he told me they had him pts and now they had these two. They do remind me of a Chow also.

They are just adorable
The thinking behind the bear coat is that it is a throw-back to the Chow and it isn't recognized by the AKC as far as being able to show them, which is unfortunate because they are so cute
The first time I ever saw one I thought it was a funny looking Chow lol!

Was the previous Sharpei sick? or was it just age? Either way, I'm sorry they lost him
