The dog who can't swim's dock diving adventures

I try not to come around here much especially when it pertains to Elmo thanks to drama from the past however these pics and this story is just too great to not share.
Elmo couldn't swim to save his life (literally) and we spent most of last summer trying to teach him however broke down and got him a PFD. At the beginning of summer he was very hesitant to go past his belly in the water no matter what. However, 2 weeks later and a lot of persistence and patience this is where we now are

Amazing distance here

Great shots Clark has the same PFD he also sinks like a rock too, but loves the water.

His form is spectacular!! I just saw a commercial reminding us that behind every Olympic athlete is a dedicated and devoted mom! Some credit is due his mom for introducing him to such fun despite his initial hesitance! Good job to both of you!!

Maybe he's just too muscular to float well? Now that you've solved the flotation problem, he seems to swim just fine!

My daughter's famliy had pitbull mix dog and she was very muscular and she could swim. She did not like to swim but she wanted to be with her famliy and when in the water with them. She hated the water but loved her famliy.

Aww, Elmo looks like he's enjoying it now. That said,he looks like he's trying to keep his head dry! I had one of my older dogs before like that, she was so afraid of the water, so one day we literally threw her in (we were of course prepared to go get her), but she took to water like a duck! I thought we'd have to go get her because she didn't want to come back - she was sorta like Forrest Gump when he started running - she started swimming and never wanted to stop! It's great when they can find it in themselves to enjoy it. Good job Erykah.
