Is he shaking his head at all? Could he have an ear infection. Our female yellow lab, Shelby, and our "human" son, both got swimmer's ear this summer. Both had to have steriod drops. With shelby, there was a lot of scratching, shaking and some "weeping". sad

dogs know best
You say that he has always done this. Have you tried putting Vaseline or any ointment in his ear, it could be a skin irritaton.

Do NOT put Vaseline or anything else in your dog's ear.
Your dog has always done this - have you had it checked out?? If he is scratching it and it's bleeding, he needs to go to the vet now. |

k, should i wait like a day or so though ?
cause if he is scratching his ear, obviously it will bleed, so i was thinking i should wait till it heals, and if he does it again to take him... there is nothing i can do to make it better myself without paying a 100 dollars ?!

Is their anything in his ears? Like brown stuff, (looks like coffee grains) or does it have a funny, ridged texture or any odor? There is some great stuff to clean the ears available here:
https://www.halopets.com/earwash.htm Its clears practically anything. |
