Look at this beauty
This guy has been wandering the neighbourhood for a few months now. He is very thin in the flanks for such a big cat but always refused food outside (which is what made me think he had a home somewhere). He is eating now, thankfully. Very sweet-natured boy.
Anyone have room for him? He's not going to put up with a solitary life in the bathroom for long, but it is the only place I have left. |

He's a handsome one! Very demure with his paws tucked in. I hope he finds his forever home soon.

needsacatnow, I think you might be a bit far, I'm in Montreal. No shortage of strays in Toronto, last time I heard.
PS so what's with the name? gotta tell you, it does not inspire confidence! |

Just no space for another beast, my apartment is really small. Plus he's intact, which sets the others off.

I thought so too. when looking to adopt , you have to take your time , no impulse adoption is good.

Badger,he is sweet looking(aren't they all:sad
I often wonder how you manage to get them in to your house,do you pick them up,or do they follow the food? I know Rocky would eat me alive,if I had a strange cat in my bathroom, but maybe your kitties are getting used to it. Good Luck with yet another lost little soul and thank you for taking him in from all that snow

he just looks content sitting there.... Badger i will let you know what is going on May time if he still doesnt have a home (or any other kittys you have about!) as just now Im not wanting a cat before i move as doors will be open etc.... (cant wait) also I've accepted a kitten which is due soon (so wont get him till June/July) by a neighbours cat so would have to see how he gets on with cats.

duttypaws , no pressure here but I can tell you Badger's rescues are the best. I don't know what she feeds them but it's working ! Her cats are just great , here are my 2 guys I adopted from her. It took them about 1-2 weeks to become buddies (which IMO was quite fast) look at them now :

If i had my way id adopt them ALL!!! its more a worry how much more it would cost to feed etc 2 cats compared to 1.... in the long run.. I have 2 at home and my mum and aunt both said it doesnt cost much more (As they both have 2) |

You should see them play with my great dane I think since Badger rescues them from the street , they are very , well , street wise but also very loving , I can't say enough about her rescues. I wish I could adopt more.

The beauty has gone home. When I went out to feed the strays last night, a guy approached me and asked if I was the women who 'fed cats'. Have you seen my cat? He went on to describe Beauty to a T. So we walked over to my place and the happy reunion took place.
He said they had gone away for a few days and couldn't find the cat to shut him inside. Then came an almighty snowstorm, which is when the beauty turned up at my door. I asked the guy if he had thought about getting him neutered. Oh no, he said, he and his brother are 'country cats' from Lac St-Jean. Readers from Quebec will appreciate the reference more, Lac St-Jean being known as a particularly 'ballsy' region of Quebec. I also pointed out that he was a bit thin, forgetting to mention the possibility of worms, but the guy didn't seem too worried. I don't suppose they've been vaccinated either. It was all very friendly. He thanked me. Now that my fame is spreading, I might start a little education campaign. Hmmm . |

Badger,I guess that is good newsat least he cared enough to come asking for his cat.
Hopefully the neutering bit got him thinking I suppose Beauty is mostly outdoors, there is no way you could keep an intact cat indoors

How can someone go away for a few days knowing that their cat is outside?
I honestly wish someone had adopted this cat before the guy found you. |

Yeah, I was going to have him snipped this week, ahead of his vaccines (my vet will now neuter without vaccinations). A neighbour told me the guy and his girlfriend had been out in the neighbourhood all day looking for him. Maybe now they'll think about getting him neutered , I said he wouldn't wander nearly as much if he was done, be healthier, etc.

And they probably knew the storm was coming .... but I'm relieved for you Badger.

I'm with Frenchy on this one. He might seem like a nice guy but I wold NEVER leave town if my cats (who are indoor kitties to start with so it's moot) outside. I'd find them or stay home. It's like leaving your kids alone because they were outside playing while you had to leave. Makes no sense!!
I have to admit I;d have been sorely tempted to have him neutered (if a vet would do it at a good price for you knowing you are in rescue) before the owner arrived and just explain you thought he was a stray. Literally for that short period, he WAS!!! I really hope you have good luck with education about neutering!
