Yellow Bile Vomit

Hi,

I came home the other day to find a little pool of yellow frothy liquid stuff in the middle of my living room... so first thing i done was smell it, as i thought it was wee, but it had no smell.
I cleaned it up and ignored it, then few days later the same thing happened again.

I googled this and all it kept saying was that it is bad if your cat sicks up yellow fluid....

so now i'm worried, has anyone got any idea what can cause this?

Thanks Lisa

Unhappy

Hey,

Henry is between 7 and 10 years of ages...

If you read the thread "stray cat issues" i've explained what happend!

His a stray cat, that we've taken in and looked after, he seems to be eating fine, pooping ok, and urinating regulary... i cant see anything strange there, although his eyes weep alot, and his got 2 bald patches on his head, but they've been there since we found him, and he doesnt seem to itch them or anything? and the vet didnt mention them when he went to see her!

I'm clueless when it comes to cats! so i've relyed on help from people on here!!!

His being fed tinned cat food, "Felix" which is a well known brand of cat food, so shoudnt be anything cheap and nasty!?

He may be getting ready to have a furball. My cat generally starts to loose her appetite for a bit before she has one and it takes a couple of tries over about a one week period to get it out.

My vet does not get concerned over weepy eyes if the fluid is clear, if it is pussy, then could be an eye infection and would need meds to clear it up.

If he is eating and going to the bathroom OK, then I wouldn't worry too much. If he stops eating all together, then it is time for a vet check.

i dont know, Shadow does that sometimes. i freaked out recently abotu it, we saw it on the bed and thought he peed, pinched our noses and cleaned it up. it was th enext morning before i ran into another spot and realized it didnt stink. vet said it wasnt somethign to worry about unless he was lethargic, not pooping/peeing, not eating or showing any other changes in behavior/appetite. the yellow bile is from the upper intestinal tract.

*shrugs* call your vet and see what THEY say.

Yes you can tell it is a fur ball becuase you can see the fur nicely wrapped up in a tubular shape very wet and can be messy so watch your step in the mornings. It is scary the first time you see them having one because it looks and sounds like they are choking and trying to cough something up.
