Question carpets are not her friend

I am at a loss as to what to do with my 14mth old fem gs. She still will not ask to be let out when she needs to and messes on the floor. However if she is kennelled she will bark to be let outside. Any suggestions on what I can try would be greatly apprieciated.

Have you trained her to ask to be let outside when she is in the house? If not, there is no way for her to know how. What have you done so far in the way of housetraining? How long is she left indoors when she messes on the floor?

Start taking her out at regular intervals. When you do, say something like "Wanna go out??" then take her directly to the place where you want her to go. Praise greatly when she performs. Keep doing this until she catches on.
