Great pics, chico!! Love your birds! That's a wonderful pic of a junco--they're so hard to photograph...gray on gray doesn't give the camera a lot to work with!

Aren't new cameras fun?

Bree,we had a couple of Robins here all winter, now we have tons of them,my favorite bird,I did not know you are supposed to make a wish..

They are singing all day long, even in to the night, but that will stop, once they find their mate.
We'll try to get close to the Chip-Munks this summer, they are just too darn cute

I really love seeing your birds and animals. Just curious, can you tame chipmunks, have them as a pet I mean?

Had to ask seeing I had this instant desire to stroke that sleek little chippie body. I am still at a loss as to whether they are ground dwelling like a guinea pig, or climbers like a squirrel though? They can get on your shoulder, on a fence, but live in burrows .... I think I'd better Google them too.

Oh, I see they are actually squirrels. Gee, they eat a real range of foods, bird's eggs, frogs, worms, mice - who'd have thought it! I would have said nuts, or just a vegetarian type diet.

GF,although they are absolutely adorable,I would never try to make one a pet, they belong where I can watch them from a short distance.
This is the first time we have some that stay around here.

LP,I went to get an emergency cell-phone at "the Source",saw the camera on sale,so I bought it as a Mothers Day presentit's nothing fancy to a camera-buff,but wonderful to me it's a Canon Power Shot SX130 IS,with 12XZoom.

I Googled your camera, Chico2, and I'm envious, it looks very okay to me. Sure I'd like a big expensive one with all the bells and whistles but do wonder if I could learn to use such a one properly. LOL. I could do a lot with a `12x zoom but reckon I'd need to be travelling to warrant my big dream camera. Or maybe needing photo's of a new pup would be an excuse for it, hey? By the way, your robins there are very different to ours.
http://www.ozanimals.com/wildlife/Bi...an-Robins.html
Of these, the only ones I've spotted here are the Scarlet Robin, The Eastern Yellow Robin, and the Jacky Winter. How big would your Robin be? Some of ours are quite small.

These are decent catches chico2 especially since they are from a point and shoot! If you want extra info on bird photography tips feel free to start a new thread in the photography section and it will more than my pleasure to share what i know. I find bird photography to be one of the hardest photographic disciplines to get great at.

Our robins are in the thrush family, GF, and run about 8.5 inches from head to tail. Looks like yours are mostly smaller birds and insect eaters? Very cool, by the way!
