What can I do to help??? ASAP

As you all know my puppy has Parvo he is doing so much better. He is eatting a bland diet (chicken, rice, cottage cheese, ped), he finally had a bowel movement and it was still a little loose though. The vet said that we are not out of the woods, because if he starts having loose stools and they are bloody (which this one was not) than we are in trouble. I know I can give him Peto or Kopectate or something like that but he hates it so much is there something I could feed him that is not hard on his stomach but will make his stools harder? Thank you for your help!

Mashed potato's and rice will bind the stool.

It's good that he is doing better, I'm so happy to hear that

Is mashed potatoes okay on his stomach though? Just mix the two together. I am guessing do not put any butter or salt anything in the potatoes? Thanks Luba for all your help through this you have been a doll!

Y/W my friend!

Yes just plain mashed potato, mix it with the boiled chicken.

Did you save the chicken broth like I suggested for ice cubes

Ladies, thank you..and I mean that sincerely.

The ice cubes will help prevent dehydration and assist with teething problems.

Like I said you are doing wonderfully!

I have no experience with Parvo, but I'm learning so much just reading the threads on here lately.

So happy you are there for him!

Parvo dogs

I have raised 3 parvo puppies over the years and each lived long and reasonably healthy lives. The worst thing one currently has is a mild upset tummy from time to time. All had very rough starts in life and three had/ have weakened rear leg function but nothing that kept them from enjoying life.
