"I Get To Choose My Own Bed??"

"First one's a little too mushy."

"Seriously? This one's a bit too girlie, no?"

"Hmmm, not bad, maybe I could get used to this one."

Thank you Bendy, we think so too .

One of the first two beds were bought at the Salvation Army, the other at a garage sale for 5$. They're baby crib mattresses .

Toby is fantastic! He has that senior look going very nicely - he really doesn't look 11. My 8 year old black lab has more grey on her face. Does Toby have just one eye or is he just winking at us?? I wish you had this thread out here about two weeks ago with the bed info... I ran into a lady at Costco who was looking for a bed for her Alaskan Malamute and a baby crib mattress would be perfect wouldn't it. Congratulations on the new addition. He certainly looks happy.

Yes, he's our new 'baby'. Toby was only supposed to be a short-term foster but our family can't bear to part with him. And he's soooo happy here, everything just fits.

Both .

His eye was removed several years ago due to a tumor.

I love them! We get the plastic covered ones, throw on a mattress cover and crib sheets. They're super easy to wash and there's no dust from the inner cushion as there is from regular dog beds (dh has allergies so we need something that can be vacuumed/washed daily).

LP, I swear I do not know anyone with a bigger heart than you.

Bless you and your family for adopting Toby.

He's such a handsome old boy and looks very mellow. I imagine that he adapted quite well with your fuzzbutts and he sure does look happy to be there.

LP, your crew is looking so amazing! I always get a shock when I see your girl as she looks so much like my Peaches. How can the couch be off limits when Toby's just so darned cute?!

There's Toby!! He is looking so good! He doesn't look a day over 5! It's wonderful to see him settling in...on the couch ... and playing with the others. What a lucky dog he is!

Let's just say Penny was playing and Ava thought she was just being a brat..which she most likely was . Penny just squeaks, squeaks, squeaks toys in Ava's and Lucky's faces. And if she's feeling particularly brave, she rams it into their faces . Btw, poor, poor Mr. Hedgehog is no longer with us ...Penny and Jasmine dismembered him while playing tug.

*Sigh* the last of the "of-limits" piece of furniture is no more...a sheet was thrown over it last night to accommodate Toby .

I tried my best to get a photo of all of them but it took me nearly an hour to convince Ava she wanted her picture taken .

First pic: Toby, Mr-have-to-put-on-a-silly-face-Lucky, Penny, and Jasmine (check out that tongue ). You can't tell in the shot but Toby outweighs Lucky by about 12lbs and is about 2 inches taller.

I finally managed to get one of 'Her Royal Shyness' with Toby.
