Question hi i am new

I have a cat and need help. The last half of its tail is limp - like she has no control over it. She is an older cat and goes outside whenever she wants too. She is healthy other than this tail thing. When I stroke her tail it feels normal and she is in no pain. It has been very cold where I live theses last few days ( 0 deg Farin.) She has had this tail problem for 3 days now. Anyone know what this could be? thanks ....Peter

I also had a cat that goes outside with a "limp" tail. Most probably she caught it on a fence or something and it could be broken. My cat had to have half her tail amputated as it was paralized and could be dangerous if she went outside, caught it on something and didn't feel it and pulled it off.
I would wait a few days to see if the feelings come back and if not, get a vet to check it out to see their opinion.

Welcome to the forum. You should take your cat to a vet. Many pets are very stoic even in pain so you should check it out to make sure that it is not broken.
