cockatiel with a problem

hello, just joined so bare with me, I have a cockatiel female named peter, shes about nine yrs old. Recently started some odd behaviour, where she backs up to everything thats on floor etc. Has laid eggs before but not doing that at present. Shes terribly sooky at the momment, and when she backs up to things she moves her head side to side and makes funny noises. Have pretty good idea of what shes doing but how can i stop her?

She's trying to mate and I have no idea how you can control it. I had a budgie that was like that and laid eggs regularily. Don't remove the eggs, leave them there, it's been a while, I can't remember how long, but it was around 20 days you need to leave the eggs there or they go right back to try to mate and lay more.
