Yep, I name the fish. The koi in the pond and the goldies in the aquarium, they all live a very long time, so why not eh? They've got their own individual personalities too. The koi are Lucy, Ethel, Ricky, Fred, Archie, Reggie, Betty, Claudius, Sparticus and Moses. I lost Veronica and Jughead after a lot of problems following the start up of the filters this spring. The Goldies are Butters, Cartman, Kenny, Kyle, Tolken, Stan and Timmy

That is so cute. And, can you tell them all apart?

Yes, they're all very different. Ethel is getting large now, over 2 feet long not including her tail, she's white with black spots, Lucy is Red and white, Betty is gold, Archie is a smaller version of Ethel, Reggie is black with a red head, Fred is mostly orange with black and white, Ricky is a butterfuly koi, so he has long long fins, he's orange and black, Claudius is like Fred, but he's got a slight deformatiy to his neck shape, Moses is metalic gold with black and white and finally Sparticus is white with large black spots and a huge red spot on his head. Same with the goldies, they are all coloured very different.

The seven wonders of Hazelrun Now that's an amazing story. Gotta give her credit having 7 of those big beauties. She should write a book, a childrens book using those wonderful dogs would be fabulous.

Yes, 4 cats. The 3 girls, Mookie, Squeak and Gabby and the big male Max. Only Max trips around outside. All spayed or neutered.
I'm sure I've posted pics of them, but I'll be taking more of them soon and will post some more. I couldn't live without cats, I've had them all my life. Only Gabby gets along with the puppies so far. Max and Squeak tolerate them, just Mookie doesn't want any part of them period. She loved our last dog Yogi so much, I don't think she'll warm up to these 2 for a while yet. She's a lot more skittish than the other cats. Cindy |

Oh, ya--you have the Seven Wonders of Hazel Run beat by a long shot! And a much better memory for names than hazel has!
So where do you keep your lovely koi in the winter? You need to post more pics of the fish. I've never seen a black fish with a red head--do you have a pic of Reggie?

I was just thinking that too Mx3. Your garden is absolutely lovely clm but I had to laugh cuz as soon as I saw the pic, I imagined Lucky digging up all the flowers that he hadn't peed on yet and Penny over zealously pruning your shrubs

The puppies are digging in the garden. They like areas that Mike has put landscape fabric down underneath, great fun finding it and trying to pull it up. Tend to pick on the boxwoods when it comes to destroying plants They're nice and soft to jump all over. Then there's one tri coloured willow that they're gnawing on pretty good. too It's the only one the actively chew on. All tough plants and the holes can be filled in so no worries. They've learned that a trip through the rose beds means that they get stuck so they stay out of there now
The fish stay outside year round. The pond is deep enough for them to live through the winter. They stop eating when the water gets below 45 degrees, I stop feeding once it's lower than 50 degrees. Reggie is a tough fish to get a pic of because of him being so dark, but I'm getting better at taking fish pics. I'll post more when I get some that aren't blurry, the darn fish just keep moving.
