wet noses
in the article about why dogs and cats too, have wet noses;
i think the reason dogs&cats have wet noses is because when they are sniffing they can pick up odours , and if too much particules are picked up they can sneeze it out easly and so it clears the palet for new scents |

Dogs don't always have wet noses. A dry nose can mean that the dog is sick, and ocasionaly my dog has a dry nose for a little while.

Sometimes a dogs nose will be dry from the environment and has nothing to do with illness. If your home is warm and cozy your dogs nose just might be as well LOL
Except for Sadie this morning with a big wet nose on the back of my neck LMAO "GOOD MORNING TO ME"

I heard wet nose are also to prevent any germs or bacterias to get into their nose! So much sniffing around that they have to have a defense mecanism.
