Question Danger of frozen water+cat's tongue?

Does anyone know for sure, if there is absolutely NO DANGER? if a cat tries to drink water that is frozen? Will he have a problem in having his tongue get stuck to the ice? I am worried for the six feral cats that I feed and want to know 100%. Thanks!

Even if a cat's tongue did get stuck to the ice, it would melt fairly quickly. Just like if you lick a popsicle, it's not like you're at risk of having it affixed to your face for any length of time. More of a risk would be a tongue sticking to a metal bowl (so use plastic in winter), but most cats would be smart enough not to lick metal, I would think. Anyway, some more tips for you on how to keep fresh water outside for ferals: http://www.petfinder.com/how-to-help...ing-water.html
