Unhappy 13 year old cocker with kidney (chronic )

my dog has been diagnosed with chrontic kidney failure and the main thing is to have her drink fluids, is it okay tro give her fruit (watermelon or pineapple, friut high in water and is skim milk okay with added water. she is not drinking water very much and the vet said as long as she drinks she should be able to lower the toxic levels in her kidneys. what are exceptable fluids for a 13 year old cocker

I don't see why fruit should bother your Cocker, but milk has been known to give diareah. What did the vet say about giving fruit? I personaly wouldn't give milk.
