Fireworks at Glasgow Green

Went to see the postponed Fireworks Display at Glasgow Green last night with my friend and, as always, he took piccies. The Fireworks should have been let off on 5 November, which is Guy Fawkes day - Remember, remember the 5th of November - as we used to say when we were wee ones!

I think that he could make a living out of this - he really has an eye for it and captures such beauty. Tell him that I for one would absolutely 100% buy on of his pictures from him - infact I know which one in black and white. I am always looking for interesting art to decorate my place. I would have the perfect spot for one of the photos if he is interested in selling one.

Aw many thanks - but he does it purely as a hobby!! Please feel free to run off any of the photos, if you like them. I have a few of Loki that he takes and they look great all around my walls!!

I don't know if he has ever done any in black and white - I will ask him when I next see him and pass on your lovely comments to him.

Again, thank you.

Take care.

Hello Duttypaws!! Aye ah cum fae Govan Well used to but stay out in Renfrewshire now - near Elderslie (where William Wallace was born). What a pity you didn't manage to go this year to the Green, it was jumping!! The shows were there as well but I kept out of the Green! We were just standing at the other side of the Clyde. It really was spectacular. The live show was brilliant as well and the songs being sung were in tune with the fireworks being set off!!

I passed Loch Lomond on Monday past on the way to Loch Awe!! I love it there!!

Nice to "meet" you

Take care.

Oh I know Stepps and Duke Street but not all that well. Duke Street prison (I think it was the women's prison but not sure) are all flats now!! Govan has all changed as well now. The shipyards where all the big liners were built have now, sadly, shut down! Shame really. The Clyde though is looking a lot cleaner now and some people even catch fish in it!! Wouldn't like to eat the fish though!!

I went to Govan High Senior Secondary - but that was many moons ago. Hope you make it back next year anyway.

Take care.

I will pass on your lovely comments to my friend when I next see him. It was a lovely display and the music played fitted in with the fireworks. Many thanks, Rainbow.

Many thanks for your lovely comments and will pass them on to my friend. Glasgow bridges are lovely at night - they are all lit up and with the reflections in the water, it makes them even nicer.

Again, thank you.

Take care.
