Looking for any ideas, help or just eyes open for "Darcy", a flashy brindle intact Boxer girl lost in Etobicoke last night.
Darcy came to us from a puppy mill on the weekend. She is a typical mill dog in that she's extremely nervous, frightened and all together unsure of humans. Last night we attempted to transfer Darcy from a temporary foster home to a foster-to-adopt home with one of our previous adopters. During the transfer from the car to the house the buckle on Darcy's harness broke and she escaped

into the night. Her new dad has been up all night looking for her and our original foster mom headed down there with one of her dogs but we have not been able to find Darcy or entice her to come out if she's hiding. She's lost in the Queensway and Royal York Rd. area of Etobicoke.
The local humane society has been alerted as have cab companies who service the area and the police in the hopes someone will spot her. We are also making up flyers. The problem is Darcy is terribly frightened and is unlikely to come out for anyone coupled with the fact that she does not yet know her name. If we don't find her by the weekend we will likely organize a search party with some of the other puppymill dogs she came in with in case she comes out for them.


If anyone has volunteers, family or friends in the Etobicoke area or who work with the Etobicoke Humane Society would you please ask them to keep an eye open for Darcy? We're desperate to get her back and terribly worried about her.
