Cats are family too

I am here with sad news. My cat Cocopuff was killed by dogs in her own garden. She was much beloved family pet and I am stuggling with trying to put a stop to the dog problem. No one seems to care about the death of one cat. The more I investigate to see if any other neighbors have had problems the more sad news I hear.Irresponsible dog owner lets their killer dogs run riot in the neighborhood and doesn't a **** about the life of a cat. Next time it could be a child. .I am in the process of putting up a website to make it public. Does anyone have any resources for DNA testing I have collected DNA samples form the suspect dogs that have been terrorising the neighborhood and would like it matched to the saliva on her cat collar if possible.

I am so very sorry for your loss  My thoughts are with you and your family during this difficult time.
As for the dogs in question, I have no idea how to go about DNA testing, hopefully a more experienced member will be able to help you with that.

Catmum,of course our cats are part of our family and I am really sorry for yours having been killed under such terrible circumstances
I don't know how it is in the UK,but here in Canada(at least where I live!) any dog running loose will be caught and if aggressive more than likely be put down. The owner,if found gets a slap on the wrist.
On the other hand, leaving your cats outside on their own, anything can happen  especially if you do not have a fenced yard..
I have no idea about DNA testing on dogs, but I wish you luck in your endeavor and again,I am very sorry for your loss of little Cocopuff
