Advice for 1st time Plane ride w/ Pets
We're taking our Pug and ShihTzu on their first airplane trip from Toronto to Newfoundland, in the summer.
We have already booked cabin space for both of them on CanJet. Their max dimensions for the kennel: (H x W x L) under the seat in the plane is 8 x 16 x 21 (soft carrier) in cargo is 36 x 24 x 26 (hard carrier) Do you guys think its best if: a)Winston the Pug in the cargo, and Ginger the Tzu as carry-on(she's about 9 lbs). b)we try to get Winston as a carry on too (IF we find a soft carrier that can contain him, and if he doesnt get too heavy (22 lb max..he's 19-20 lb now..)and fly them both underneath passenger seat. c)we get them both hard carriers and put them both in cargo.. also I was wondering if anyone on here have used airline approved carriers both hard & soft for sale with the above dimensions...we have pet carriers & a Pet taxi, but I dont think they are approved by IATA. PM me if you have any that you dont need anymore.. Im in the GTA. thanks. |

check with your airlines, but I'm not a fan of cargo.
also try this link www.pawsitivetravel.com it's a Montreal based site that rents aircraft regulation carriers. They probably have something in T.O.. p.s. cute beebies!!
