Pug with spinal tumor

Our 8 year old pug Missy has trouble walking on both hind legs. An MRI showed a mass in her spine which is most likely a glioma we were told. The vet said there is not much to do for it. He did mention something about possibly trying Lomustene chemo. She is fine otherwise and her behavior is normal. Is there any treatment for this and what should we do? Thank you. Mark

Pug with spinal tumor - Answered by Dr. Slome

Sounds like a competent Vet that has done a good work up and researched some of the available options. Prognosis is likely not good - I'm sorry.

You may want to consider a referral to a Veterinary neurologist/neurosurgeon to get the best possible opinion from a specialist.
