Nail Clippers

Here is my stupid question for the day. We have an 11 week old american eskimo and would like to clip her nails. The thing is we forgot to put nail clippers on the puppy list! My question is because she is so small can we use cat clippers on her for the first time and then go out to purchase dog nail clippers. Are they basically the same thing? Thanks for the advice and i apologize for the stupid question.

Not a stupid question at all

Always better to check if you have doubt.

Enjoy your puppy

If the nail fits in, and the blade is sharp, I see no reason to not use what works. I would clean the clipper between cuttings though, just in case you cut the quik on the dog. Cat's nails are a hot-bed of bacteria and cross-contamination wouldn't be fun.

Good luck!
