I would NOT pair a guinea pig with a rabbit of any kind.

Get her another pig for a friend. Set up side by side cages to get them used to each other before putting them together.

When you do put them together take them out first and thoroughly clean the cage first, so it will be more neutral territory.

Hi jiorji.
I think I remember you saying that your moving to Montreal. There is a fantastic rescue here called JodiesJigglyPiggly Rescue.Rabbits and Guinea pigs together are an accident waiting to happen.A female or a neutered male would be a great buddy for Maryjane.
The SPCA also has Guinea pigs from time to time. You have to be prepared to house 2 piggies seperately in the event they don't get along. My suggestion to you is to contact a rescue where you live or when you get to Montreal and they will help you with the introduction process.
You can also send me a pm when you get here if you wish and I could help.I have 5 girls and 3 foster boys currently.
Good luck!
P.s Yes clean the cage thoroughly before putting both together BUT....don't do the introductions in the cage! It needs to be neutral territory, where you could intervene if necessary! Handy tools for you would be oven mits and a little dustpan of doom for quick seperating if needed.
Read about introductions on cavyspirit.com
