checking for a microchip

maybe you all know this already, but I found out a way to "check" to see if a pet is microchipped, you can't read it, but until a vet/spca opens for you to get the animal scanned, this is a neat way. If you have a stud finder (real cheap at canadian tire) you can run it around the animals back/chest etc, it will pic up the little bit of metal in the animal to show there is a microchip, we tried it on brina and a friends dog and it works *L* odd.....but handy
